Great to meet you!

I have a Master's Degree in Counseling and worked for many years in Community Mental Health. I struggled with addiction as a way of coping with my own trauma and finally got sober in 2004.I worked for several years in a residential treatment center providing mental health support and was trained in Trauma Therapy and Eating Disorders in order to help patients negotiate their path to recovery.

My approach to therapy

We are all the directors of our lives. Taking inventory and identifying old beliefs that have not served us well is the power we can use to clear old hurts and find peace. I use a direct, holistic approach to explore old traumas and replace old beliefs that no longer serve in our growth. I believe in empowering the person in order for change to occur and give homework and teach emotional regulation exercises to increase tolerance.

What you can expect from me

Challenging old perspectives and beliefs in order to open pathways to viewing the world in a more malleable way in order to empower ourselves to include change and spiritual growth and release negativity and remove blocks to change.
