Great to meet you!

Mr. Richardson is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 10 years of experience working with all ages in both community and residential settings. He completed his professional training at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

He helped individuals and families move through the grief process when he chaired and provided clinical expertise to a hospice program. He champions diversity. He helps clients manage depression, anxiety, trauma, substance use, and adjustment type issues.

My approach to therapy

Mr. Richardson skillfully uses compassion, motivational interviewing, and empathy. His approach to treatment is client-centered and guided by the client’s experience and their aspirational plans. He uses cognitive behavioral, brief interventions, psychodynamic, and solution-focused therapies to assist clients with finding balance.

What you can expect from me

Clients participate in a mental health assessment and are prepared to share biographical information.

Although the first session is not a "therapy session" per se; most clients feel symptom relief because they have taken an important step toward addressing their problems.
