Great to meet you!

I am a clinical social worker who enjoys providing brief therapy and case management services to older adults. I have extensive experience working with seniors, particularly veterans, and have worked in a variety of settings, including insurance companies, hospitals, and the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Having lived in Hawaii, California, Uganda, Maryland, and Washington, DC, I bring a culturally informed and open-minded perspective to my work. My approach to therapy is direct, practical, and solution-focused, while also providing a supportive space where you can feel comfortable expressing yourself, sharing your concerns, and simply talking things through. My goal is to work collaboratively with you to identify your needs, build on your strengths, and find meaningful solutions that support your well-being.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is practical, collaborative, and focused on your individual needs and goals.

I use solution-focused and brief therapy to help you identify your strengths, address current challenges, and develop realistic strategies for moving forward.

I also incorporate reminiscence and life review therapy, which provide opportunities to reflect on life experiences, recognize personal strengths, and find meaning in your life journey.

Through interpersonal therapy, I help clients explore relationships, navigate life transitions, and improve communication.

My goal is to provide a supportive space where you feel heard, respected, and empowered to make meaningful changes.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, we will talk about what brings you to therapy, the concerns you would like to address, and what you hope to gain from our time together.

This is a chance for me to get to know you, learn about your experiences, and understand your goals. Together, we will identify what matters most to you and create a plan that fits your needs. My goal is to provide a direct, comfortable, and supportive space where you feel heard, respected, and actively involved in your care.
