Great to meet you!

Are you looking for competent and comprehensive support for yourself or your child or adolescent?

Hi!

I am Olesea Beyer, a PMHNP trained and mentored by a psychiatrist with 30+ years of experience in complex cases, and I would love to help you reach your mental wellness goals. My expertise is continuously supported and developed by the network of psychiatrists and senior PMHNPs who supervise me and mentor me.

I specialize in psychiatric medication management and psychotherapy for children, adolescents. I bring over 11 years of clinical experience and a warm, inclusive, solution-focused approach to every patient I see.

I am particularly passionate about children’s and women’s health, and I hold a Women’s Health certification. I am a member of The Menopause Society, the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners, and of The Maryland Academy of Advanced Practice Clinicians.

I warmly welcome individuals across the full spectrum of gender identity, sexual orientation, neurodevelopment, and abilities.

My approach to therapy

Patients have described me as warm, encouraging, solution-oriented, and genuinely curious about the people I work with. I support patients in setting meaningful goals and I guide them toward accomplishing them — at a pace that feels right for each individual.

I take the time to understand how each person's personal and family history, cultural background, genetics, and medical history all contribute to where they are today. These aren't just details — they're the full picture of who someone is, and they shape every aspect of the work I do with my patients.

A central part of my practice is supporting individuals in identifying their own strengths and discovering new resources that can move them closer to their best possible mental health.

What you can expect from me

In your first session, you'll have the opportunity to share what brought you to seeking help and what outcomes you're hoping for. I will listen carefully and ask thoughtful questions about your background, history, previous care, and goals. The intake session is dedicated to getting to know you as fully as possible — so that together, you can determine the best next step.

That next step looks different for everyone. It might mean running additional assessments, exploring a referral, or beginning a medication. Whatever the path forward, I will take the time to explain which options she believes could be helpful and why. I will answer your questions and support you in making the decision that feels right for you.
