Great to meet you!

Hi there, welcome to you!

My name is Piera. I'm a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) in Texas, Maryland, Colorado, and Michigan.

My clinical background is in trauma-informed care and cognitive behavioral therapy with a focus on attachment and acceptance/commitment theories. I help children, adolescents, and adults identify, address, and overcome current and past traumatic experiences as well as assist in creating healthy coping strategies and build confidence in tackling daily stressors.

Together, we will highlight and build upon your strengths and resiliencies with positivity, hopefulness, and empowerment.

My approach to therapy

Trauma-informed care takes a closer look at how life's greatest struggles continue to linger and impact stress management, relationships, personal confidence, and overall happiness/well-being.

Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) addresses how thoughts, feelings and behaviors all impact one another and how addressing one enhances the others.

I believe it's especially important to have that safe space to heal and grow, which is what I will strive to provide.

What you can expect from me

I am patient and nonjudgmental. I value honesty, openness, and practicality. You will receive my most genuine self, full attention, and have no greater cheerleader along the way.

I'll follow your lead as we work together to personalize the therapeutic space to your comfort level, pace, and direction.
