Great to meet you!

I graduated with a PhD in clinical psychology from the University of Louisville and currently work as a licensed psychologist. I am fortunate to support preteens, teens, young adults, and adults who are struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD related stresses, relationship challenges, and racial/cultural stress. I take a strengths-based, collaborative approach—helping clients build confidence, identify their inner resources, and work through the roadblocks they face. Whether someone is navigating school or work stress, anxiety, depression, panic attacks, or feeling stuck, I help them develop practical coping tools they can use in everyday life. Ultimately, my goal is to support all clients in: experiencing emotional healing, building self-acceptance, and growing a greater sense of control over their lives.

My approach to therapy

I don't think therapy should be a one-size fits all experience. Rather, I am devoted to creating a therapy experience that is personalized to the needs and goals of each client. To help facilitate this customization, I draw from evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to help clients develop practical tools to help them cope, heal, and thrive. I also specialize in using Racial, Ethnic, and Cultural Healing (REACH) therapy, a modality that I created, to support minority individuals who are interested exploring ways to heal from and learn to navigate cultural stressors within their lives.

What you can expect from me

From the start of therapy, I aspire to bring a warm, down-to-earth presence to therapy, creating a safe space where clients can feel understood and supported. I also carefully and skillfully seek to understand what brings someone to therapy - doing my best to empower a client's open expression and assure I am arriving at the most helpful understanding of their concerns. And, at the conclusion of the first session, I openly share my impressions and collaboratively set goals with my clients to assure we have a clear path for moving forward.
