Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) since 2012 and Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) since 2022. My work is grounded in a systemic perspective, meaning I view individuals within the context of their relationships, families, and broader cultural environments. I am especially interested in how trauma, attachment, and relational patterns shape emotional experiences and interpersonal dynamics.

My approach to therapy

I have a particular interest in working with military individuals, veterans, and their families, as well as clients navigating ADHD and autism. I understand that these experiences can impact identity, relationships, and daily functioning in unique ways, and I aim to provide support that is both practical and affirming.

My clinical approach is collaborative, compassionate, and culturally responsive. I strive to create a space where clients feel safe, seen, and respected as they explore their experiences. I draw from a range of evidence-based approaches, including Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, trauma-informed care, and relational therapy models. This allows me to tailor therapy to each client’s needs—whether that involves building coping skills, shifting unhelpful thought patterns, strengthening relationships, or focusing on solutions and forward movement.

I have experience working with clients navigating anxiety, life transitions, relational conflict, neurodivergence, and the impact of trauma. I am also attentive to the ways culture, identity, and lived experience influence each person’s story and healing process.

My goal is not to “fix” clients, but to work alongside them in understanding their experiences, building resilience, and fostering meaningful, lasting change.

What you can expect from me

In your first session, you can expect a welcoming and collaborative space where we begin getting to know each other. We’ll talk about what brings you to therapy, any current challenges you’re facing, and what you’re hoping to gain from our work together. You are free to share at your own pace—there is no pressure to go deeper than you feel ready for.

I’ll ask some questions to better understand your background, including your relationships, personal history, and any relevant experiences that may be shaping what you’re going through. This helps me see the bigger picture and tailor our work to your needs.

We’ll also discuss your goals for therapy and begin identifying areas of focus. Depending on your preferences, we may start exploring practical tools—such as coping strategies, ways to manage stress or anxiety, or approaches to shift unhelpful thought patterns. If you’re coming in for relationship concerns, we may begin looking at interaction patterns and communication.

For clients who are military-affiliated, neurodivergent (including ADHD or autism), or navigating trauma, I aim to ensure that our work feels respectful, relevant, and adapted to your unique experiences.

You’ll also have the opportunity to ask questions about the therapy process, confidentiality, and what to expect moving forward. My goal in the first session is to create a space where you feel comfortable, understood, and supported as we begin this process together.
