My name is Shannon Toy (she/her), M.Ed, LCSW. I prefer to be called by my middle name, Julianne. I graduated with a Master of Education from Concordia University in 2015 and a Masters in Social Work from Simmons University in 2018. I work with a wide range of ages and populations including children, adolescents, adults, and families. I also specialize in working with the LGBTQ+ population.

My approach to therapy

Areas of specialty include; anxiety, behavioral problems, stress management, trauma, adjusting to change, mood disorders. Preferred modalities include; cognitive behavioral therapy, solutions focused therapy, narrative, rational emotive, and mindfulness techniques.

My counseling style is solutions focused, and strengths based rather than problem focused. I am a true believer in client centered care, and believe that you should be included in every step of your care. Working with me means that I will advocate for you and work WITH you to empower you to live a happier and healthier life.
