Great to meet you!

I have over 20 years experience working in the mental health field. I have worked community service, hospital, in-home, and private practice settings. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Post-Doctoral Psychology Fellow. My populations are women and couples. I enjoy helping my clients work through difficult transitions in life and come out feeling the strongest they have every felt.

My approach to therapy

I work from a strengths and holistic based approach to therapy. I believe in helping clients recognize and utilize their strengths to meet their goals. Therapy is not just working on one thing but the whole person. Change is hard, but once you recognize your abilities it's a little less challenging.

What you can expect from me

The first session is an intake session. I learn about you and your experiences. We work together to develop goals and treatment planning. Psychoeducation is very important. The first part of change is awareness. Your awareness about yourself helps you to make the first steps towards change. I do assign homework. The hardest work in therapy occurs outside of the therapy session. Homework assists you in taking those steps. The homework is specific to your needs.
