Great to meet you!

If you made it here, congratulations — you’ve already taken one of the bravest and most important steps: recognizing that you’re facing something you cannot fix alone. Asking for help is a courageous act. As a survivor of trauma, I know how hard that first step can be and I honor the strength it takes to arrive here. Recovery and growth take time, patience, and steady effort, and you deserve the compassion and support needed to discover — or re-discover — joy and a sense of worth.

Let me walk beside you through the next stages of your journey. Together we will create a treatment plan tailored to your unique needs, values, and goals. That plan will be collaborative and paced according to what feels safe and manageable for you. We’ll attend to your emotional safety, build practical coping skills, and work toward lasting change while honoring your resilience and autonomy. You don’t have to carry this alone — I’m here to support you with empathy, respect, and professional care.

My approach to therapy

I believe that meaningful change in mental wellness occurs when there is a genuine human connection between a provider and their patients. At its core, my practice values authenticity, compassion, trust, and empowerment. I understand that quality mental health treatment is not about "fixing people" but about helping patients to reconnect with their resilience, develop effective coping tools, and move towards a life that feels more balanced and meaningful while providing medication and therapies where needed. My care is intentionally personal, consistent, and grounded in respect for each individual's lived experience. I believe in shared decision-making between myself and my patients and collaborating in a way that feels supportive rather than clinical or rushed. Treatment is individualized, drawing from evidence-based, science-backed approaches while remaining flexible and responsive to what each patient needs in the moment.

What you can expect from me

Starting mental health care can feel overwhelming, and it’s completely normal to feel unsure or nervous before a first session. My goal is to make that initial visit feel safe, welcoming, and supportive. During our first session, we’ll take time to get to know one another at a pace that feels comfortable for you. I’ll invite you to share what brings you in, what you’re hoping for, and any concerns or questions you may have. There is no pressure to share more than you’re ready for—this is your space, and you remain in control of the conversation. We’ll talk about your history, current challenges, and strengths, while also exploring what has and hasn’t been helpful for you in the past. If medication or specific therapeutic approaches are part of your care, we’ll discuss options together and make decisions collaboratively. My approach is never rushed or one-size-fits-all. Above all, the first session is about building connection and trust. I aim to listen with care, offer thoughtful guidance, and begin creating a plan that feels aligned with your needs and goals. Whether you’re seeking support for anxiety, trauma, life transitions, grief, or ongoing mental health concerns, you can expect compassionate, respectful care centered on you as a whole person.
