Great to meet you!

Hi there! I'm a dedicated Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) originally from the Bronx. My extensive experience working with BIPOC communities focuses on addressing housing insecurity. Over the years, I've had the privilege of supporting adults and children who have faced trauma, grief and loss, substance use, housing instability, and mood disorders. I incorporate various Evidence-Based Practices (EBPs) such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) in my work.

After gaining valuable experience in the Bronx, I moved to Portland to continue my mission of addressing housing insecurity, particularly among veterans. My approach is compassionate and client-centered, with a strong emphasis on CBT, ACT, and DBT.

My journey has now brought me to Michigan, where I see clients virtually, supporting ongoing individual needs. I am currently taking clients in Michigan, Oregon and New York.

My approach to therapy

As a therapist, I specialize in trauma-focused one-on-one sessions, integrating modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help my clients navigate their challenges and build fulfilling lives.

With a compassionate and collaborative approach, I work with educating clients on goal-oriented, short-term evidence-based practices that focus on identifying, challenging, and changing negative thought patterns and behaviors. I'm passionate about making a positive impact and am continually inspired by the strength and stories of the people I work with.

What you can expect from me

I am dedicated in creating a safe, comfortable, and non-judgmental atmosphere where clients can explore their unique needs and goals. By allowing clients to lead their sessions and providing support and education when needed, I strive to empower them to become their own therapists. I meet clients where they are, especially those new to therapy, to ensure they feel comfortable and engaged in the therapeutic process. My goal is to help clients build healthier thinking patterns and coping strategies, leading to improved emotional well-being and a better quality of life.
