Great to meet you!

THE COOL, CALM, & COLLECTED COUNSELOR

I refer to myself as "City Made" and "Country Raised." I'm a native of Baltimore, Md and spent time in NC. I am now a resident of Detroit, Michigan.

I earned a B.A. in Psychology. My graduate education led to an M.A. in Counseling Psychology. I hold active licensures in Michigan, Ohio, and North Carolina. My experience includes licensures as a Clinical Supervisor in Substance Use & Addictions and an Independently Licensed Professional Counselor.

My approach to therapy

I've been privileged to serve in the human services field for 20 years working in various settings. I've been provided the opportunity to support teens, adults, and families who overcame a wide range of challenges and symptoms in both individual and group sessions. I have studied and trained in Reality-based Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, and certified in Grief Therapy.

What you can expect from me

In my practice, it is understood that your story and experiences are unique to you. There is no "one size fits all" approach when supporting you. I will walk alongside you through your journey to relief, change, and growth. My belief and experience have proven that longterm effective change occurs when the therapeutic process is inclusive of practical, reality and evidenced-based interventions and techniques. I am elated to begin an empowering journey together.
