Great to meet you!

I have enjoyed 32 years of clinical social work experience supporting individuals through difficult emotions, trauma, life transitions, and interpersonal challenges. My approach is compassionate, empowering, and deeply committed to helping you feel heard, valued, and understood. Together, we work toward resolving challenges, strengthening emotional confidence, and achieving your personal goals—so you can move through life with greater independence, resilience, and joy.

My approach to therapy

My approach is straightforward: I'm here to help you find ways to talk more easily about the difficult things. There are many paths toward healing, growth, and achieving your goals, and together we can discover what works best for you. By listening with genuine interest and curiosity, I create a safe and supportive space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, ideas, and beliefs openly. My goal is for you to feel heard, understood, and empowered as you develop the confidence and tools to move forward with greater ease and joy.

What you can expect from me

During our first visit, we’ll begin by getting to know each other and talking about your previous experiences with counseling—including what was helpful and what may not have worked for you. We’ll talk openly, and at a pace that feels comfortable, about what brought you to counseling now and what you hope to gain from our work together.

Most importantly, our first visit is an opportunity to begin building a trusting relationship. My role is to listen with genuine interest, without judgment, and to help you identify what you want from counseling. Together, we’ll begin to clarify your goals and develop a path toward achieving them. You don’t need to have everything figured out before you come—I’ll help you find the words, questions, and direction as we go.
