Great to meet you!

I'm a licensed clinical social worker with a Doctor of Social Work degree and experience working with individuals across healthcare, community mental health, higher education, and private practice. My clinical interests include anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, life transitions, obesity medicine, bariatric behavioral health, and helping people navigate complex medical conditions.

Clients often describe me as approachable, genuine, and easy to talk to. I believe therapy works best when you feel comfortable enough to laugh, be honest, ask difficult questions, and even challenge me if something doesn't fit. I value authenticity over perfection and believe that meaningful change happens through a strong therapeutic relationship built on trust, respect, and a little humor along the way.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy should be tailored to the individual, not the other way around. I draw from evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), trauma-informed care, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), motivational interviewing, and solution-focused techniques. Together, we'll identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck while building practical skills you can use outside of our sessions.

I work collaboratively with my clients because you're the expert on your own life. My role is to offer clinical expertise, guidance, and accountability while helping you build insight, resilience, and confidence. Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship challenges, trauma, ADHD, or concerns related to obesity and bariatric care, we'll develop a plan that fits your unique needs and values.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is about getting to know you, not judging you. We'll explore what brings you to therapy, what you hope to accomplish, and begin building a plan that feels realistic and personalized to your goals. You don't need to have everything figured out before you arrive. My job is to meet you where you are and help you make sense of what's feeling overwhelming.

I strive to create an environment that feels genuine, supportive, and collaborative. I also bring a little New England charm to the room, meaning you'll likely experience a mix of humor, honesty, and respectful bluntness. I'll always tell you what I think with kindness, because I believe meaningful growth comes from authentic conversations, not just saying what you want to hear.
