Great to meet you!

Feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, weighed down by depression, or stuck in the same relationship patterns? You may know something needs to change without knowing where to start.

I’m Todd Forsman, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 23 years of experience, licensed in Oregon, Washington, and Alaska. I offer online therapy for adolescents and adults, including individual, couples, and family sessions. I help clients navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship or family concerns. Together, we can work toward understanding what keeps you stuck and developing practical ways to move forward.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, collaborative, and practical. I offer space to talk honestly while helping you identify patterns, build coping skills, strengthen boundaries, and improve communication. We’ll explore what is happening now and how past experiences or family relationships may be affecting your life today.

I draw on cognitive behavioral, strengths-based, and family-focused approaches, tailoring our work to your needs rather than expecting one method to fit everyone. I am also certified in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), which uses guided eye movements and imagery to address distress associated with difficult memories. When appropriate, we can discuss whether ART fits your needs and goals.

What you can expect from me

You don’t need a perfectly organized story or to share every painful experience in your first appointment. We’ll start with what brought you to therapy, what feels hardest right now, and what you hope will be different.

I’ll ask questions about your experiences, current challenges, and sources of support so we can begin identifying meaningful goals together. You’ll also have time to ask questions and consider whether my approach feels like a good fit. Before we finish, we’ll discuss possible next steps. My goal is for you to leave with a clearer understanding of how we might work together—not pressure to have everything figured out.

You can schedule an intake appointment through my profile to get started.
