Specializes in

Anxiety, Depression, Grief, Loss, and Trauma

Great to meet you!

I’m a psychotherapist with a unique path shaped by roles as a professor, hospice chaplain, and former computer programmer. My work blends psychology, spirituality, education, and technology to support deep, compassionate healing.

I’ve taught future therapists in pastoral care, clinical mental health, and marriage and family therapy, helping them integrate psychological insight with cultural awareness and empathy. My time as a hospice chaplain taught me the power of presence and the sacredness of grief work. Before that, I worked in tech, where I developed strong analytical skills that now help me recognize emotional patterns and guide clients through complex inner terrain.

I hold both an MA and PhD, and I support individuals, couples, and families working through childhood, religious, and sexual trauma, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, life transitions, and relationship challenges. I’m especially drawn to working with those who feel unseen or struggle to live authentically because of past wounds. I also enjoy working with athletes and creatives navigating identity, performance pressure, and the emotional toll of their work.

And at the heart of it all, I’m a mother to an adult daughter; an experience that continues to shape how I show up with care and understanding in seasons of change.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, thoughtful, and grounded in the belief that healing begins when all parts of you feel seen and accepted. I work with individuals, couples, and families facing challenges like trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, major life changes, and relationship struggles.

My therapy approach supports emotional healing, enhances communication, and helps you gain a deeper understanding of yourself and those around you.

Therapy with me isn't just about fixing problems—it's about developing a more genuine and caring relationship with yourself and others. I pay close attention to how your personal history, culture, identity, and life experiences have shaped your approach to coping, connecting, and caring for yourself.

Whether you're carrying the weight of past pain, feeling stuck in a relationship, or trying to find clarity in a difficult season, I offer a supportive space to help you feel more grounded, connected, and fully yourself.

What you can expect from our first session

Clients often leave sessions feeling more seen, heard, and grounded. Together, we’ll explore the patterns shaped by your past, helping you better understand why you think, feel, or react the way you do. As that awareness grows, so does your capacity for self-compassion, making it easier to quiet self-criticism and respond to yourself with care.

We’ll work through emotional pain and trauma at a pace that feels safe. You’ll learn how to strengthen your relationships by enhancing communication, fostering trust, and being more authentic in your connections. Over time, many clients become more confident in setting boundaries, expressing their needs, and making choices that support their overall well-being.

I hope that therapy helps you feel more like yourself, less burdened, more connected, and better able to live in a way that feels free and fulfilling.
