Great to meet you!

Life sometimes brings us moments where things don't feel quite right - relationships change, identities evolve, responsibilities grow, or the ways we’ve always coped stop working as well as they once did. Those moments can feel confusing, lonely, or heavy.

For more than 20 years, I’ve helped people move through those seasons of change.

Many of the people I work with are thoughtful, capable individuals who have spent years showing up for others - at work, in relationships, in their families - but feel uncertain about how to care for themselves in the same way. My clients often come to therapy feeling stuck in self-doubt, low mood, complicated family dynamics, body image struggles, or the quiet pressure to be everything for everyone.

I work with adults across many life stages - college students finding their direction, young adults building their lives, and mid-career professionals balancing work, relationships, parenting, or caregiving. I also have experience supporting military members and their families and provide affirming therapy for transgender clients.

Above all, I believe therapy should be a place where you feel respected, understood, and able to reconnect with your own voice.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative, nurturing, and practical. I use an eclectic approach, tailoring therapy to your needs rather than relying on one specific model. Together we explore the patterns that show up in your life - how you talk to yourself, how you navigate relationships, and how past experiences may still be shaping the present.

From there, we work on developing practical skills: strengthening self-esteem, improving communication, building emotional resilience, and creating healthier relationships with your body, your boundaries, and yourself.

My goal is to create an affirming space for all identities, orientations, body types, and abilities - one where you can show up as you are.

Therapy is not about being “fixed” - it’s about understanding yourself more clearly and building the tools to move forward in a way that feels more grounded and aligned with who you are.

What you can expect from me

The first session is simply the beginning of the conversation.

We’ll talk about what has been going on in your life, what led you to seek therapy now, and what you hope might feel different moving forward. Some people come in with a clear idea of what they want to work on; others arrive feeling overwhelmed or unsure where to start. Both are completely okay.

You don’t need to prepare anything or have the “right words.” My role is to help guide the conversation, ask thoughtful questions, and create a space where you can begin to make sense of what you’ve been carrying.

By the end of our first meeting, we’ll usually have a clearer picture of your goals and how we might begin working toward them together.

Sometimes the first step toward change is simply having a place to pause, breathe, and start finding your light again.
