Great to meet you!

I've been a therapist for more than twenty years and love what I do. I try to be genuine. I want you to feel respected, safe, seen and heard, challenged, and hopeful. I'm neurospicy and I enjoy connecting a variety of folks. From people dealing with anxiety, depression, adjustment to changes, trauma, to neurodivergence, gender exploration, queer, kink, poly community. Bring it on!

My approach to therapy

I will offer you practical tools to use: CBT, EFT, stress relaxation, thought stopping, positive reframing, tools for overcoming negative self-talk, focus on being safe emotionally with others, somatic tools, and more. We'll find a few actionable strategies to practice throughout the week. I want you to end the session knowing that we're working toward something and not simply letting off steam. Although this is important, it doesn't generate lasting change.

What you can expect from me

If this is your first experience with therapy, it may feel like a first doctor's appointment. You'll need to review history with your family, relationships, health issues, etc. If you're not new to therapy, you may not want to reinvent the wheel. I'll need some background but focus more on the present, with context from the past. It's important to know what worked for you and what didn't. No matter where you're coming from, my ultimate goal is to make you feel at ease.
