Great to meet you!

I earned my MSW from Howard University School of Social Work in 2015 with a focus on clinical practice, aging populations, and children & family systems. I received my BSW from University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2011 and began my academic journey at Coastal Carolina Community College and graduated 2007.

I have experience in community mental health, medical social work, long-term care, school settings, child and family welfare, military populations, and private practice. I work with older adults, adolescents, teens, and young adults, providing compassionate, individualized therapy that fosters resilience, emotional well-being, and personal growth.

My approach to therapy

My approach is client-centered, collaborative, and solution-focused. I create a safe, respectful space where clients feel heard and supported.

I use Solution-Focused and Cognitive Behavioral strategies to help clients identify strengths, set clear goals, and develop practical tools for change. My goal is to empower clients with insight and coping skills they can use long after therapy ends.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, you can expect to be treated with respect, understanding, and compassion. My goal is to create a safe and welcoming space where you feel comfortable sharing at your own pace.

We will complete a clinical assessment to better understand your concerns, current challenges, strengths, and goals for therapy.

I will ask questions to gather important background information, but this is also your time to share what feels most important to you.

I will focus on building rapport and establishing trust, because a strong therapeutic relationship is the foundation for meaningful progress.

From there, we will begin identifying practical, solution-focused strategies that support your goals and help you move toward positive change.

Most importantly, this is a collaborative process — we will work together to create a plan that feels supportive, realistic, and aligned with your needs.
