Great to meet you!

Hey there, I’m Dr. Marni & welcome to my virtual practice. I have 25 years of experience working as a social work practitioner, supervisor & educator. I've worked with clients of every age & background.

I've always considered therapy the “best thing I can do”. I see my clients some of the most courageous people on the planet—willing to share their stories, their time and themselves in an honest effort to improve the overall quality of their lives and the lives of those around them. I respect my clients and work hard to match their labor.

My approach to therapy

I find that a good & comprehensive assessment goes a long way toward setting the framework for the therapeutic relationship. I use the standard measures, but I also am a great listener & a great question-asker. I believe that most clients want to share what their concerns are. So, I try to create a warm & welcoming space where they can feel free to do that.

What you can expect from me

Goals generally come right out of the assessment. However, it's important to bring my understanding of the goals back to the client to be sure that we are on the same page in terms of the focus of our work. Of course, life happens & goals will change as needs change & as they are achieved.
