Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Rachel — a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based out of Colorado with a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. I specialize in working with adults dealing with anxiety and chronic stress, particularly those exhausted from holding it together for everyone else. My approach is practical and collaborative — we’ll figure out what’s actually driving things and build tools you can use in real life.

My approach to therapy

I work in a way that’s direct and present-focused — we deal with what’s actually in front of you, not just what’s in your past. Sessions are collaborative, but I’m not a passive listener; I’ll reflect back what I’m noticing and ask the questions that are worth asking. I use evidence-based approaches including CBT, ACT, and motivational interviewing, adapting to what’s most useful for you at any given point. Most people describe the work as grounded and practical — you’ll leave sessions with clarity, not just catharsis.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is a conversation. I’ll ask about what’s been going on, what’s bringing you to therapy now, and what you’re hoping to get out of our work together — but there’s no pressure to have it all figured out before we start. I show up direct and engaged, and you’ll have plenty of space to ask questions and get a feel for whether this is the right fit. You will leave with a clearer sense of where we’re starting and what we’re working toward.
