Great to meet you!

Hello, I’m Dr. Persefoni Andronikos-Cox, though most clients call me “Dr. A.” I’m a Licensed Psychologist with training from Hofstra University (B.S.) and St. John’s University (M.S. and Psy.D.).

I’ve worked in residential treatment, outpatient behavioral health, and school settings. I support children and adults with a variety of needs, such as ADHD, anxiety, and depression. I also support neurodivergent individuals and provide support with special education as well as parent training (also known as parent guidance) to caregivers. Additionally, while I work with clients from many backgrounds, my Greek upbringing gives me additional cultural insight when supporting Greek and Greek-American clients.

My goal is to create a supportive, collaborative space where you feel understood and empowered.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative—I see therapy as a partnership where you remain in control of your journey. I often draw from positive psychology to help clients identify and use their strengths, and I use cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to build awareness of thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. I also incorporate tools from other therapeutic approaches so our work fits your unique needs and goals.

What you can expect from me

We’ll begin with a brief 15-minute consultation to get to know each other and discuss what you’re looking for in therapy. In sessions, I use visuals, tools, and practical resources to create a warm, structured, and supportive environment. My goal is helping you feel comfortable, informed, and confident throughout your therapeutic journey.
