Great to meet you!

My name is Aaron Braverman and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in both California and Texas. I have been in clinical practice for over 11 years and had the opportunity to work with individuals of diverse backgrounds and experiences. My area of expertise includes treating those with depression, anxiety, trauma, chronic pain/illness, life transitions and working with the LGBTQ community.

My approach to therapy

I start from the belief that clients are not people who are broken and need to be fixed but supported in reconnecting with their existing strength and resilience to once again feel whole. Together we will figure out where you feel stuck, overwhelmed ,lost or distressed and collaboratively develop meaningful solutions to move pass what is interfering with the life that you want to live. I provide practical tools to use outside of session that include cognitive, behavioral, somatic and mindfulness approaches to healing. I welcome the chance to connect and see if we are a good fit.

What you can expect from me

Clients usually leave the first session with a deep understanding of how their goals for therapy will be met and what treatment will look like. Many clients report a sense of hope and relief. My main focus in session is for clients to feel heard, without judgement and to take something from each session that can be applied to their daily lives.
