Abby Zimmerman

I am a licensed LMHC with a concentration in trauma and eating disorders. I will work every bit as hard as my clients to help them find solutions and strategies to manage whatever challenges they are struggling with. I work collaboratively with my clients to identify their objectives and set the appropriate goals necessary to effect change.

I don’t believe therapy is a one-size-fits-all, and therefore I use several different therapeutic models and psychotherapy techniques. I am a trauma-informed therapist who utilizes a holistic approach to treatment. Some of those are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectal Behavioral Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Parts Work, and Narrative and Exposure therapies.

I love working with clients to help them heal, become empowered, and develop more self-confidence. People need coping skills to help them cope with big emotions, and I enjoy teaching clients how to use them. My clients can expect to work collaboratively with me to identify their objectives and set the appropriate goals necessary to effect change.
