Great to meet you!

If you’ve carried the weight of early-life trauma, anxiety, or emotional overwhelm for too long, you’re not alone—and healing is possible. I help adults and older adults learn to regulate emotions, release stored tension, and rebuild a sense of safety in their bodies and relationships.

My approach integrates Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills—mindfulness, emotion regulation, interpersonal effectiveness, and distress tolerance—with methods that help the nervous system calm and restore balance. Together, we work to transform survival patterns into resilience and peace.

I bring over two decades of experience as a university professor training future clinicians in trauma-informed care. I now focus on clinical practice, helping people understand how early experiences shape the mind and body, and how compassionate awareness can bring change at any age.

My approach to therapy

I view therapy as a collaborative process. You bring your story and strengths; I bring a trauma-informed, evidence-based framework for healing. Sessions are structured, compassionate, and focused on restoring your capacity for joy, connection, and calm.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, you can expect a calm, supportive space where we explore what brings you here and what you hope to change. We'll move gently, at your pace, focusing on safety and clarity. My goal is for you to leave feeling understood, grounded, and confident about our work together.
