Great to meet you!

Many people come to therapy after years of taking care of everyone else, pushing through difficult circumstances, or trying to figure things out on their own. Over time, that can leave you feeling exhausted, disconnected, uncertain about who you are, or wondering why your old ways of coping no longer work.

Before becoming a therapist, I spent more than four decades working in professional, advocacy, and community-centered roles. Those experiences—and many years supporting LGBTQIA+ communities—have shaped the way I show up as a therapist. I work with adults and couples navigating anxiety, depression, addiction recovery, relationship challenges, identity exploration, and life transitions. My goal is to offer a space where you can show up exactly as you are, be genuinely heard, and begin creating meaningful change.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy is most effective when it honors the whole person—not just symptoms or diagnoses. Together, we'll look at the experiences, relationships, values, and personal stories that have shaped who you are, while identifying patterns that may no longer be serving you.

My style is warm, direct, and collaborative. I draw from approaches such as CBT, ACT, narrative therapy, strengths-based therapy, and Gottman-informed couples work, but I believe the relationship we build is just as important as any specific technique. Whether you're exploring identity, strengthening relationships, working toward recovery, or simply trying to reconnect with yourself, we'll move at a pace that feels right for you.

What you can expect from me

Therapy doesn't require you to have everything figured out before you begin. You don't need the perfect words or a clear plan—only a willingness to start.

In our work together, you can expect compassion, honesty, curiosity, and practical support. My hope is that therapy becomes a place where you gain deeper self-understanding, strengthen your relationships, and feel more confident navigating whatever chapter of life you're in.
