Hey there! My name is Alejandra, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of California and Massachusetts. I have primarily worked in hospital settings, with 5 years experience, working with veterans and families, addressing multiple psychosocial needs. In my experience, I have also provided services with supportive counseling in grief/bereavement (individual and group), anxiety, and goal oriented tasks.
I focus on providing an overall safe and empathetic space for you throughout our sessions. I recognize the multiple cultural factors, societal expectations, and other dynamics where during our time I will strive to create a judgement free zone. I enjoy learning about "what makes you, you" and building strong rapport with my clients as I value their trust, communication, and openness to taking this step towards therapy.
During our first session, I will take the time to get to know you as a person. I am interested to know what makes you "You," and what challenges you are experiencing at the time to help me understand what approach to take to best provide you with support unique to your needs.
