Great to meet you!

I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor specializing in grief, trauma, and relationship and family dynamics. I work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, cultural identity, and the emotional impact of complex family and relationship experiences.

I offer therapy in English, Spanish, or my personal favorite—Spanglish—and aim to create a space that feels authentic, grounded, and human. Many of the clients I work with are thoughtful and self-aware, but feel emotionally overwhelmed, burnt out, or stuck and are looking for deeper understanding, not just symptom relief.

My approach to therapy

My approach is relational and psychodynamic, grounded in trauma-informed care and shaped by advanced training in Trauma Studies at the Manhattan Institute for Psychoanalysis. I pay close attention to how early relationships, family roles, culture, and lived experiences continue to shape emotional patterns in the present.

I’m an engaged therapist who reflects, asks questions, and helps you make sense of what may be happening beneath the surface. Together, we explore patterns with curiosity and compassion, working toward greater self-awareness, emotional regulation, and more intentional ways of relating to yourself and others.

What you can expect from me

The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin building a sense of comfort and trust. We’ll talk about what’s bringing you to therapy now, your past experiences with therapy (if any), and what you’re hoping to get out of this space.

There’s no pressure to share everything at once. My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling supported, understood, and clearer about whether working together feels like a good fit. Over time, therapy can help you better understand emotional patterns, process difficult experiences, and feel more grounded and connected in your life and relationships.
