Great to meet you!

I am a licensed clinical psychologist with over 15 years of experience. I received my B.A. in English Literature from Princeton University in 2005 and my doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the Wright Institute in Berkeley, CA in 2015. I have maintained a private practice for the past 10 years in the San Francisco Bay Area where I see children, families, couples, and individuals of all ages, with a wide range of mental health-related challenges and sociocultural backgrounds. I specialize in psychodynamic psychotherapy and have special training in perinatal and early childhood mental health. My academic interests have included psychotherapeutic change-process research and contemporary relational psychodynamic supervision. I enjoy teaching and supervising developing clinicians at a number of institutions in the Bay Area.

My approach to therapy

Therapy is where we begin to name what has long gone unnamed. I offer depth-oriented, relational psychotherapy for those navigating trauma, attachment wounds, identity concerns, and emotional stuckness. My work integrates psychodynamic theory, developmental neuroscience, and a background in literature—bringing together art and science, emotion and thought.

Informed by attachment and developmental theories and research, I understand that we are wired for connection. Many of our struggles begin with disconnection—internal or relational. In therapy, we explore what hurts and why, often gently at first, then with increasing clarity and courage. I listen for what is said, and for what has not yet had language.

What you can expect from me

Clients often tell me they feel deeply understood—and that we’re able to reach the heart of the matter early. Many experience symptom relief, greater insight, and a renewed sense of possibility. Our work is grounding, clarifying, and emotionally alive—a space for meaning-making, healing, and real change.
