Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Alexandria, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist dedicated to helping individuals navigate life’s challenges with compassion, clarity, and purpose. I provide a nonjudgmental and supportive space for clients working through anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, and major life transitions.

My path into therapy began with a personal connection. Growing up with a parent who struggled with addiction gave me an early understanding of emotional pain—and sparked a deep desire to support others through theirs. I earned my undergraduate degree in Sociology from Florida State University and went on to receive my Master’s in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University.

Over the years, I’ve worked with a wide range of individuals, including children in foster care, teens navigating identity and belonging, and adults working through trauma, substance use, and relationship struggles. These experiences have shaped my belief that there’s no one “right” way to heal—only the way that feels most authentic to you.

In my practice, I take a person-centered and CBT-informed approach, blending empathy and honesty to help clients explore their emotions, shift unhelpful patterns, and build confidence from within. I’m here to walk alongside you, offering guidance, support, and space to grow at your own pace.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is compassionate, collaborative, and tailored to each individual’s needs. I strive to create a space where clients feel safe, respected, and genuinely understood. I believe that healing happens when you’re met with both empathy and honesty, so I bring a gentle yet direct style to each session—one that supports vulnerability while also encouraging growth.

I specialize in working with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, and life transitions. Many of my clients are working through self-doubt, shame, family dynamics, or feeling stuck in patterns that no longer serve them. Whether you're facing internal struggles or external challenges, I’m here to help you slow down, gain clarity, and move forward in a way that aligns with your values.

Using a blend of person-centered therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I help clients explore the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we identify limiting beliefs, uncover emotional blocks, and develop tools to manage distress more effectively. But therapy isn’t just about symptom relief—it’s about rediscovering your voice, building self-trust, and creating a more fulfilling life.

Our work will move at your pace, with room for both reflection and action. I’ll be transparent about the process, encourage open dialogue, and check in often to ensure we’re moving in a direction that feels helpful to you.

Ultimately, my goal is to help you feel more connected—to yourself, to others, and to the life you want to build. Whether you're just starting therapy or returning to it, I’m here to meet you where you are and walk with you toward where you want to go.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect a therapy space that is warm, open, and judgment-free—a place where they feel seen, heard, and supported just as they are. I strive to create an environment that balances safety and honesty, where you feel comfortable being vulnerable but also gently challenged to grow.

In our sessions, we’ll work collaboratively to explore what’s going on beneath the surface—whether it’s anxiety, self-doubt, trauma, or patterns that feel hard to break. My goal is to help you better understand your emotions, shift unhelpful thinking, and develop practical tools to manage life’s stressors more effectively.

Using a blend of person-centered and CBT-based strategies, we’ll identify goals that feel meaningful to you—not based on outside pressure, but grounded in your values and what you want for your life. This might include building confidence, improving relationships, setting boundaries, or finding more emotional balance.

Clients often tell me they leave sessions feeling more grounded, self-aware, and empowered. Therapy isn’t about “fixing” you—it’s about helping you reconnect with your inner strength and move forward in a way that feels authentic and sustainable.

Ultimately, I want you to walk away from therapy not just feeling better, but feeling more like yourself.
