Great to meet you!

I work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, substance use, and the ups and downs that come with bipolar disorder, along with everyday struggles like stress, grief, relationship strain, family tension, and attention challenges. A lot of the people I see are coming in during a hard stretch, sometimes for the very first time, and I want you to know there's no "right way" to start. I became a therapist because I believe people are far more resilient than they feel in their lowest moments, and I find real meaning in helping someone rediscover that in themselves. My job is to meet you where you are, not where you think you're supposed to be.

My approach to therapy

I see therapy as a partnership. We'll work together to figure out what's actually getting in your way and build on the strengths you already have, even if they don't feel obvious right now. Depending on what you need, that might mean noticing the thought patterns that keep you stuck, finding your own motivation for change rather than having it pushed on you, or making space to explore the deeper roots of how you feel. Some clients also find that creative tools help them say what words can't. There's no one-size-fits-all here — the approach bends to fit you.

What you can expect from me

The first session is mostly about getting to know each other, and there's no pressure to have it all figured out or to share more than you're ready to. I'll ask some questions about what brought you in and what you're hoping for, but mostly I want you to leave feeling a little more at ease than when you walked in. We'll go at your pace. By the end, we'll have a sense of whether this feels like a good fit and a rough idea of where to go from here — that's it.
