Great to meet you!

I have a Masters in Counseling Psychology, a Masters in Education and over 4 years of experience working with teens in the mental health field. I specialize in healing after traumatic events that may leave a teen feeling disconnected, anxious, explosive or numb. My goal is to help clients feel less overwhelmed, understand their emotions, and learn how to handle the tough moments so they can get back to feeling more like themselves.

My approach to therapy

I am trained in EMDR, and TF-CBT, and I focus on creating a safe, compassionate space where young people can make sense of overwhelming experiences and regain a sense of connection and control.

Whether your teen is coping with the death of a loved one, adjusting to changes in family structure, healing from abuse, or struggling with the emotional fallout of painful events, therapy can help them reclaim hope and resilience. I use evidence-based trauma therapies—including EMDR and Trauma-Focused CBT—to help clients process their stories at a pace that feels safe and empowering.

For parents, I offer collaborative coaching to help you understand what your child is going through and strengthen the relationship beneath the behaviors. Together, we work toward steadier days, calmer homes, and a more grounded path forward for your family.

What you can expect from me

The first session isn’t about digging up everything at once. It’s about getting to know each other, figuring out what feels hard right now, and helping your teen feel comfortable in the space. I’ll walk them through what sessions look like, how privacy works, and how trauma-focused therapies like EMDR or TF-CBT might help them over time. No surprises, no pressure.

My job isn’t to tell them they are wrong or to “fix” them—it’s to help them understand their feelings, make sense of what happened, and give them tools that actually help in the moments that feel hardest.

A lot of teens start therapy feeling unsure or numb or guarded. We can still build something helpful—sometimes we start with art, movement, writing, grounding tools, or just talking about daily life.

By the end of the first session, your teen will have a clearer idea of what therapy with me will look like and what we’ll focus on together to help things feel better over time.
