Great to meet you!
My name is Alice Mills Mai. I’m a trauma and resilience psychotherapist specializing in supporting immigrants, children of immigrants, and Black women who are ready to move beyond survival and into wholeness. I am an EMDR-trained trauma therapist, resilience researcher (almost Dr. Alice!), and a Ghanaian immigrant woman reclaiming her story out loud. My approach is trauma-informed, compassionate, and culturally attuned, grounded in a deep understanding of the unique stressors faced by African immigrants and their descendants.
Using EMDR and other evidence-based practices, I help clients process complex trauma, reconnect with their truth, and reclaim their power. Whether you're navigating generational wounds, burnout, or a sense of disconnection, therapy with me offers a space to be fully seen, heard, and supported.
