Great to meet you!

You are an inherently wise and capable person..And life can life the sh*t out of us at times! Let's work together to support you through life's challenges, to identify areas of focus, and to come up with a game plan that works for you.

I am a licensed Art Therapist, as well as a Licensed Professional Counselor. What even is Art Therapy? So glad you asked! Art Therapy utilizes art to further the therapeutic process...think working on a creative project together in a therapy session, in order to help you to view and understand a particular issue more deeply. In addition to being an Art Therapist, I am also a clinically trained Psychotherapist, so no problem if art-making isn't for you. I have extensive training in Mindfulness-based Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and a variety of additional therapeutic modalities.

I am a Transpersonal Psychologist, which is a branch of psychology that places special emphasis on a holistic approach to therapy, often including a person's spirituality within the therapeutic process. "Spirituality" can mean different things to different individuals; for some it is found within religion, for others it may be found in sports, science, the universe, and so on. Whatever "spirituality" means to you, it is welcome to join us in the therapy room. I have a passion for assisting clients with incorporating spiritual ritual into their lives, as well as for holding a safe container for them to delve deeper into their personal spiritual experiences, understandings, and cosmologies.

As a nonbinary, queer, white presenting individual, I pride myself in supporting the LGBTQIA+ community. I believe with my whole being that the more we care for ourselves and one another, the closer we get to the world of our dreams. It is an honor to be with you on this journey!

My approach to therapy

I utilize a trauma-informed, solution-focused, and supportive approach within therapy. I'm not afraid to challenge my clients when it is called for :)

What you can expect from me

It is often said that 90% of therapy takes place outside of the therapy room. With that in mind, I provide my clients with educational materials, worksheets, and links to information pertinent to whatever is being worked on within our sessions. Does this mean you have to complete homework? Not necessarily, but it does mean that you will have the resources you need even when we aren't working together one-on-one in a therapy session.
