I'm Amanda, a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I bring specialized expertise in complex mental health conditions while maintaining an unwavering belief in your capacity for healing and growth. My clinical focus includes autism spectrum disorders, OCD, personality disorders, PTSD and trauma, schizophrenia and psychotic disorders, and substance use disorders, alongside comprehensive treatment for depression, anxiety, panic, mood, and bipolar conditions.

What I want you to know is that I see our relationship as a true partnership. While I bring clinical knowledge and evidence-based treatment approaches, you bring the most important element—intimate knowledge of your own experience, strengths, and goals. My role is to listen deeply, understand your unique situation, and work collaboratively to develop a treatment plan that feels right for you.

I'm particularly drawn to supporting individuals facing complex or multiple diagnoses because I understand these journeys require nuanced, individualized care. There's no one-size-fits-all approach to mental health, and I pride myself on tailoring treatment to your specific needs, preferences, and circumstances. Whether that involves medication management, therapeutic interventions, or connecting you with resources, we'll explore all options together.

My practice is built on respect, transparency, and hope. I celebrate every step of progress and help you recognize your inherent strengths. I'm here to remind you of your resilience and walk alongside you toward healing and the meaningful life you're creating.

My approach to therapy

My philosophy is grounded in genuine partnership and deep regard for each person's unique journey. You hold the expertise about your own experiences, and I am here to support you with clinical proficiency, authentic compassion, and unwavering dedication as you pursue mental wellness. During medication management, I prioritize understanding your specific symptoms, personal goals, and everyday circumstances. Every treatment decision we explore is truly collaborative, thoughtfully examined against your daily life, core values, and overall wellbeing. I am committed to presenting all available options transparently, addressing your concerns with care, and ensuring you feel genuinely respected and understood throughout our work together. I recognize that beginning or adjusting psychiatric treatment can feel daunting. That is why I establish a welcoming, judgment-free environment where you can speak openly about your progress and challenges without any hesitation. My approach blends evidence-based psychiatric medicine with holistic attention to the lifestyle factors that shape mental health. I remain accessible between appointments, continuously monitor treatment effectiveness, and refine our approach based on your feedback. My broad clinical experience equips me to meet even the most complex needs with real confidence and precision. I believe in starting medications thoughtfully and evolving our plan as your needs change over time. When beneficial, I coordinate with your other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive, integrated care. My deepest goal is supporting you not merely in reducing symptoms, but in restoring hope, establishing balance, and moving toward the life you truly deserve. I will meet you exactly as you are, without judgment or expectation, and move at whatever pace feels right. Your wellness and comfort are always my highest priorities. That is a promise I make to you, and one I intend to keep every single day.

What you can expect from me

From the instant we first connect, my top concern is making sure you feel truly seen and valued. We'll take our time forming a connection, going beyond just symptoms to grasp who you are as a whole person with your own story and specific concerns. I'll want to understand what's bringing you in for support right now, your past experiences, and what you're genuinely hoping to accomplish.

Shared decision-making forms the foundation of my practice, meaning you'll actively participate in every choice we make together. Your voice matters immensely—it's crucial for shaping care that genuinely fits your situation and goals. If medication seems worth exploring, we'll examine everything together, covering how it functions, expected outcomes, potential side effects, and realistic timelines, all explained simply, because you deserve complete honesty and clarity about your own health.

My focus remains on you as a unique individual, free from any judgment. Given my extensive clinical background, I'm ready to meet you exactly where you stand, regardless of how complicated your history is or how long you've searched for proper help. We'll also consider your lifestyle, existing support systems, and additional resources that could enhance your wellness journey. Whatever direction we choose, whether medication, lifestyle changes, or some combination, it will be tailored entirely to your specific needs and circumstances.

Throughout our ongoing work, secure messaging will be available for everyday questions, and I'll ensure you know precisely how to reach me should something urgent come up. Your cultural background and life circumstances matter greatly to me and will shape every aspect of our approach together, from our very first conversation onward.

By the time our first meeting concludes, you'll have a clear understanding of what comes next and the confidence that you're not navigating this alone.
