Great to meet you!

I’m Amber Washington, a licensed clinical social worker with over eight years of clinical experience working with individual clients, families, and couples. I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, and mood disorders, grief, as well as navigating motherhood, infertility, and postpartum challenges. I conduct therapy through a solution-based model, and I’m deeply passionate and enthusiastic about helping people navigate life’s challenges—doing so with open-mindedness, empathy, and dedication.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is grounded in a solution-based model. This means that instead of focusing only on problems or past struggles, I work collaboratively with clients to identify their strengths, set achievable goals, and develop practical strategies to create meaningful change. I do this while maintaining warmth, seeking to truly understand the hardships my clients face, and responding with empathy. I believe that every client already has resources within them, and my role is to help uncover those strengths, guide the process, and support clients in moving toward growth and resilience.

What you can expect from me

What my clients can expect when working with me is that I’m genuinely invested in their journey. I’m in it with them — fully present, engaged, and committed to their process. My goal is to create a safe and supportive environment where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to move forward
