Great to meet you!

I'm a first generation Mexican American. I'm a proud mother, loving wife, silly sister, and loyal friend. Loved ones would describe me as compassionate and having a boisterous laugh.

In my twenties, I chose a career in social work because I enjoyed talking to people and learning about their lives. I graduated with a Masters in Social Work with a focus in Child Welfare and Trauma. Ten years later, I've developed my clinical skills and support clients in managing life stressors through therapy.

My approach to therapy

I strive on building trust with clients. This may take a short time for some, and a longer time for others. We work at your pace in therapy and move towards challenging thoughts and behaviors once you're comfortable. I commend every person who takes the first step towards participating in therapy and I approach our work together with serious care, attention, and most importantly — respect.

What you can expect from me

In sessions, we will reign in emotions — explore and understand them so you may feel more in control and better able to manage your day to day life. Some sessions will be light and "easy," while others will be heavy and triggering.

My job is to accompany you in the process, guide when needed, and challenge when appropriate, but most of all — remind you that you are okay as you explore your inner thoughts and feelings.
