Great to meet you!

It is common to appear capable and composed on the outside while feeling internally overwhelmed, depleted, or stuck. With over 25 years of experience helping individuals navigate the weight of life's transitions, grief, and caregiver burnout, I specialize in supporting those who are used to managing things on their own but find themselves facing an emotional overload that has built up over time. It is a genuine privilege to help my clients achieve their goals and improve their lives by providing a space where they can finally stop holding it all together and start feeling like themselves again.

I believe therapy is a place to slow down and make sense of the world when things feel out of balance. Whether you are navigating a major life change, parenting challenges, or the deep exhaustion of burnout, my goal is to help you find clarity and relief. I want you to feel steadier and more grounded during our time together, knowing you have a calm, nonjudgmental advocate by your side who respects your pace and your story. When I am not in my virtual office, I focus on the same principles of resilience and mindfulness that I share with my clients, ensuring I am fully present to support your meaningful steps forward.

My approach to therapy

My approach is compassionate and practical, blending clinical expertise with a focus on your unique strengths. I utilize a variety of strategies including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Positive Psychology to help you understand emotional patterns and reduce the feeling of being overwhelmed. I also integrate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and mindfulness-based practices to ensure our work feels manageable and sustainable. I hope that my clients will be able to positively grow while working together by building the resilience needed to navigate change with confidence.

We will focus on identifying the specific hurdles that keep you feeling stuck and work collaboratively to develop actionable tools for growth. My style is person-centered and affirming, ensuring that our sessions are a safe harbor for honest conversation. Whether we are working on relationship issues or stress management, my aim is to help you take steps that lead to a more balanced and authentic way of living.

What you can expect from me

Our first hour is about turning down the noise of the outside world so we can focus entirely on what has been weighing on you. We will spend our time together untangling the specific concerns and symptoms that brought you in, moving at a pace that feels natural to you. This initial session is dedicated to getting to know you—exploring your history, your current circumstances, and the reasons you are seeking support.

In our first sessions, we'll explore questions like: What would healing or progress look like for you? What is bothering you the most? What changes would you hope to see in your life? These conversations help guide our work together and ensure therapy is focused on what matters most to you. By the end of the session, we will have begun sketching out a working plan and identifying the initial goals that will lead us toward success.
