Amy Ptalis

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and I have experience treating individuals and couples in both outpatient and inpatient settings. I have provided a solution-focused and empathic environment effectively treating individuals struggling with depression, anxiety and relationship stressors. I am trained in EMDR and find it beneficial for those suffering from trauma and phobias. I have been intensively trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) from Dr. Marsha Linehan's Behavioral Tech Institute which has been helpful with improving self-image, emotional stability, interpersonal effectiveness, and mindfulness.

I have training in various therapeutic approaches including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic, and Systemic Family Therapy.

Through our work together we will identify patterns in functioning, and establish related goals. We will then work to develop coping skills to address challenges and effect positive change.
