Great to meet you!

Hello and Welcome! My name is Ana Mora, and I hold a Master of Social Work (MSW) from California State University, Monterey Bay and have over 7 years of combined professional and internship experience supporting children, adolescents, and young adults. Throughout my career, I have worked with youth facing challenges such as anxiety, low self esteem, trauma, grief and loss, life transitions and family related issues. In addition to working directly with youth, I partner closely with parents and caregivers to help them navigate school systems, strengthen family relationships, and support their child's emotional well-being.

As a bilingual therapist, I provide services in both English and Spanish and strive to approach every individual with cultural humility, compassion, and respect.

My approach to therapy

I believe meaningful change begins with feeling seen, heard, and understood. My goal is to create a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients can openly explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences.

I work with individuals experiencing challenges that come along with anxiety, relationships, low self-esteem, boundary setting, grief and loss, and life transitions. My approach is collaborative, empathetic, and strengths-based. While I strive to help clients feel validated and supported, I also gently challenge them to step outside their comfort zones, gain insight into patterns that may be holding them back, and move toward meaningful growth.

I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques, including reframing unhelpful thoughts, challenging cognitive distortions, building self-worth, and developing healthy coping skills. I recognize that everyone possesses unique strengths and resilience. Together, we work to foster self-awareness, and confidence.

What you can expect from me

Starting therapy can feel both exciting and nerve-wracking, and that's completely normal. During our first session, we'll spend time getting to know each other and discussing what brings you to therapy.

I will conduct a brief intake assessment where you'll have the opportunity to share your concerns, personal background, and goals for therapy. Together, we'll determine whether we're a good fit and discuss next steps, including scheduling future sessions.

If it seems another provider or resource may better meet your needs, I will gladly help connect you with appropriate referrals. My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, supported, and with a clear understanding of how we can move forward.
