Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Florida with doctoral-level training in Couple and Family Therapy. I have clinical experience across community mental health, residential treatment, intensive outpatient programs (IOP), and outpatient settings, working with adolescents, adults, couples, and families.

My clinical approach is grounded in Bowen Family Systems Theory. I use a multigenerational perspective to understand clients beyond presenting concerns, exploring family patterns, cultural, and contextual influences. My primary focus is emotional regulation, helping clients build the capacity to respond rather than react under stress. I also integrate strength-based and solution-focused interventions. I provide culturally responsive care and I am fluent in Spanish, allowing me to effectively serve diverse populations in their preferred language when appropriate.

My approach to therapy

I aim to create a safe, warm, and approachable space where clients feel comfortable engaging with sensitive and challenging topics. My style is collaborative and engaging, with a strong focus on fostering insight and emotional awareness.

What you can expect from me

In the first session, clients can expect a welcoming space where I focus on understanding their needs, concerns, and what they would like to work on in therapy. I invite clients to share anything they feel is important for me to know so I can best support them. From there, I gently transition into gathering a family history, often using a genogram, to better understand relationship patterns. This helps create a broader context for their experiences and informs the direction of treatment moving forward.
