Great to meet you!

Choosing the right psychiatrist is a deeply personal decision — and it deserves a provider who truly listens. After more than 12 years of clinical experience, I believe that mental health care, done well, can change the entire trajectory of a person's life.

I am a board-certified psychiatrist (MD, ABPN). My practice centers on comprehensive psychiatric evaluation and medication management, delivered via telepsychiatry across California. I treat adults with depression, anxiety, OCD, PTSD, bipolar disorder (I and II), panic disorder, insomnia, and other complex psychiatric conditions.

A quick note so you can choose the right kind of care: I am not a talk-therapy-only provider. My appointments focus first on getting your diagnosis and medication right. Within those visits, I integrate evidence-based techniques — CBT, DBT, and Motivational Interviewing — to support your progress. If you are seeking weekly psychotherapy alone, without medication, a dedicated therapist will be a better fit, and I am always glad to coordinate with your therapist (or help you find one) so you get the best of both worlds.

I am bilingual in English and Spanish and warmly welcome patients who prefer care in Spanish.

I practice exclusively via telehealth, so you can access high-quality psychiatric care from the comfort and privacy of your home, anywhere in California.

Insurance accepted: Aetna, United Healthcare (Optum), Oxford (Optum), Horizon BCBS of New Jersey, Carelon Behavioral Health, and Providence Health Plan. Self-pay rates are available for patients not using insurance.

Please note: I do not provide independent medical evaluations (IMEs), disability evaluations, or ESA letters, and I am not currently in-network with Medicare or Medi-Cal.

My approach to therapy

My approach begins where good psychiatry always should: with a thorough, unhurried diagnostic evaluation, so your treatment plan reflects your goals — not a one-size-fits-all protocol. As a psychiatrist, my primary tools are accurate diagnosis and careful medication management, and I enhance every visit with therapeutic techniques such as CBT, DBT, and Motivational Interviewing rather than offering standalone psychotherapy sessions. Many of my patients notice a meaningful reduction in symptoms within the first month of treatment.

Patients frequently commend my empathetic listening, professional expertise, and the convenience of virtual consultations. Patients and colleagues alike describe me as a compassionate, highly professional, and empathetic provider who prioritizes patient-centered care.

What you can expect from me

What you can expect from me

Psychiatric care first — Thorough diagnostic evaluations and expert medication management are the foundation of every treatment plan. Therapy techniques (CBT, DBT, MI) are woven into your visits to reinforce progress — not offered as a separate, therapy-only service.

Individualized treatment — Every plan is built around your specific diagnosis, history, and goals, with medications selected and monitored carefully for effectiveness and tolerability.

Clinically rigorous, genuinely compassionate — Board-certified psychiatric care that combines the latest treatment advances with a warm, patient-centered approach. You will feel heard and respected at every visit.

Telehealth across California — Secure, HIPAA-compliant video appointments from anywhere in the state. No commute, no waiting room, same-week availability.

Collaborative, long-term partnership — I invest in your full recovery, not just your symptoms. If ongoing talk therapy would help you, I will gladly coordinate with your therapist or refer you to one, so your medication and therapy work together.
