Great to meet you!

I believe therapy works best when people feel genuinely seen, understood, and accepted. I strive to create a warm, thoughtful, and collaborative space where clients can bring all parts of themselves without fear of judgment. My style is compassionate, curious, and relational, I pay close attention not only to what is happening in your life, but also to how your emotional experiences have been shaped over time and how they live in the body, relationships, and inner world.

I work especially well with individuals navigating identity, belonging, life transitions, relational struggles, existential questions, and the impact of cultural or intergenerational experiences. As someone deeply attuned to the experiences of first-generation and immigrant communities, I understand how culture, family expectations, and systems can shape emotional life in complex ways.

I see therapy as a partnership. Rather than positioning myself as someone who has all the answers, I aim to walk alongside clients with honesty, care, and curiosity as we make sense of patterns, emotions, and experiences together.

My approach to therapy

My approach is integrative and tailored to each person’s unique needs, personality, and goals. I draw from psychodynamic and psychoanalytic therapy, existential therapy, mindfulness-based approaches, and cognitive behavioral techniques when helpful. I also value somatic awareness and believe emotional healing often involves reconnecting the mind and body rather than treating them as separate.

Together, we may explore:

  • Patterns in relationships and attachment
  • Emotions that feel difficult to access or express
  • Anxiety, self-criticism, or feelings of stuckness
  • Questions of identity, meaning, purpose, and belonging
  • The impact of early experiences and family dynamics
  • The ways culture, migration, or intergenerational experiences shape one’s inner world

I believe insight is important, but insight alone is not always enough. Therapy can also be a space to practice new ways of relating to yourself, your emotions, and others with greater compassion and awareness.

What you can expect from me

The first session is an opportunity for us to begin getting to know one another and to explore what brings you to therapy at this point in your life. Clients can expect a conversational, collaborative, and nonjudgmental environment where there is no pressure to have everything figured out.

We may discuss:

  • What has been feeling difficult or emotionally significant lately
  • Your hopes or goals for therapy
  • Important relationships, life experiences, or stressors
  • Any questions or concerns you have about the therapeutic process

I also understand that starting therapy can feel vulnerable or intimidating. My goal in the first session is not to rush into “fixing” things, but to help create a sense of safety, connection, and understanding so we can determine whether working together feels like a good fit.
