Clients can expect a welcoming, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment during their first session. This initial meeting is focused on getting to know you—your concerns, experiences, and what brought you to counseling. We will discuss your current challenges, relevant history, and what you hope to gain from therapy.
I will also explain my approach to counseling, answer any questions you may have, and begin working with you to identify goals for treatment. The first session is an opportunity to build rapport and ensure you feel comfortable and heard. Most importantly, it is a space where you can begin to share at your own pace while we collaborate on a path forward tailored to your needs.
