Great to meet you!

Hello! I'm April and I'm a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with 9 years of clinical experience serving children, adolescents, and adults in various inpatient and outpatient settings. I have extensive experience treating depression, bipolar, anxiety, PTSD, psychosis and other various mood disorders. I am able to provide medication management and supportive therapy. For structured weekly therapy, please seek a licensed therapist.

My approach to therapy

I provide both medication management and supportive therapy, allowing us to take a comprehensive and integrated approach to your care. Together, we’ll explore your symptoms, history, and goals to determine whether medication, therapy, or a combination of both is the best fit for you. If your primary treatment goal is psychotherapy alone, I can refer you to a licensed therapist.

What you can expect from me

After your first visit, you can expect to have a clearer understanding of what’s been going on and what your next steps might look like. We’ll review your concerns, symptoms, history, and goals, and I’ll share initial impressions and treatment options. If medication is appropriate, we’ll discuss recommendations, potential benefits, and side effects so you can make an informed decision. You may also leave with practical strategies, a treatment plan, and a sense of what future sessions will focus on. Most importantly, you can expect care that’s collaborative, respectful, and tailored to you.
