Great to meet you!

Hi! Im April Kitchens, LCSW. I am thrilled that we have crossed paths. If you are here, you have done half of the work! Im passionate about helping others manage OCD, anxiety backed disorders, depression and other stressors that life has handed to you. We all experience difficulties but when enough is enough we could use a helping hand. I am that hand.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My approach to therapy includes a kind, understanding and empathetic style. One of my favorite quotes is "there, but for the grace of God, there go I" (John Bradford). I believe we are all one step , one moment away from falling apart and we need someone to understand and help. Im here to be that support. That can mean a focus on past traumas, present traumas and even present behaviors.

What you can expect from our first session

You can expect to take away from each session a feeling of support and more control of your life. Through therapies like ERP , ACT andCBT you will find new way to process each situation you are going through. You can also expect change in your life. Change to live a more mindful life.
