Hello, my name is April! I'm so glad you're here.
I am a private practice owner based in Houston, TX. My journey to being a therapist started with a natural inclination towards empathy, was solidified by my own powerful experiences in the client’s chair, and was realized through a lot of hard work in both academic and clinical settings.
My goal as a therapist is to create a safe environment where you can explore personal challenges, form meaningful connections, and build a life you love. In session, we'll laugh, cry, & celebrate the messiness of being human.
I welcome clients from all backgrounds, while specializing in Asian Americans, women’s issues, the Queer community, and those living through and with grief. I enjoy working with clients to modify their thoughts, emotions, & behavior, while also learning to accept and love the parts of themselves that have been surrounded by shame.
