Arnulfo Martinez

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 25 years of experience helping individuals, couples, families, and groups. I hold a master’s degree in Counseling and a bachelor’s degree in Education from Texas A&M–Corpus Christi, as well as an associate’s degree in Fire Science from Del Mar College.

Before becoming a counselor, I served 25 years with the Corpus Christi Fire Department, retiring as a Captain. I also worked for the State of Texas as a social worker for more than 13 years and proudly served in the United States Marine Corps after graduating high school.

My primary therapeutic approach is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which I specialize in and apply across a wide range of needs. I also incorporate other evidence-based practices to provide comprehensive care tailored to each client.

My counseling style is client-centered, built on empathy, rapport, and respect for the client’s perspective. Together, we will set both short- and long-term goals, develop problem-solving skills, and work toward meaningful change.

I believe that the counseling environment is a collaborative effort—created by both therapist and client—where learning flows both ways.
