Great to meet you!

Welcome. My name is Ashley. I am 34, am a licensed professional counselor with about 8 years of experience. I am originally from Annapolis, MD. For the past 8 years, I have been working as a therapist at a medication assisted treatment facility helping those struggling with opioid use disorder. Despite my focus beingwith substance use disorders, almost all my clients have co-occurring mental health disorders as well. The top three being anxiety disorders, depression, & PTSD.

My approach to therapy

I do my best to meet clients where they’re at, never pushing you to talk about things you don’t want to or aren’t ready to talk about. I lean more towards CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy), which is an evidence based therapy shown to be most successful with anxiety & depressive disorders. For substance use disorders and PTSD, I use the program called Seeking Safety. Another evidence based approach that targets both substance use & PTSD.

What you can expect from me

My hope is for my clients to feel heard, supported, & understood after meeting with me.
