Great to meet you!

Hello! My name is Ashley Denton, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and I specialize in treating complex trauma. I am a two time graduate of the great Arizona State University with both a bachelors and masters in social work. My work history includes: capital defense mitigation, crisis/detox unit clinician, residential substance abuse for pregnant and parenting women, trauma therapy for children who’ve experienced sexual trauma, child protection and family support through in home interventions.

My approach to therapy

My background is diverse from forensic social work to maternal substance abuse and perinatal mental health struggles. I have a passion for working with the justice involved individuals and family members experiencing incarceration of a loved one. I have a unique understanding of secondary trauma experienced by first responders and legal professionals who interact with the carceral systems. My therapy style is client centered and eclectic with appropriately timed humor. I will meet you exactly where you are and metaphorically stand in the mud with you until you are ready to move.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect to leave session feeling less alone, seen and heard for exactly who they are in that moment.
